Netscape was unable to detect your modem or other connection device.

Try the following:

The remote computer you are contacting might be busy. Wait a few minutes and try again.

If you are making several calls in a row, it's possible your modem did not hang up completely from the last call. Wait a minute and try again.

If you still can't place the call, check and make sure your modem cable is securely attached.

Troubleshoot your modem. When you installed your modem, it should have also installed a software configuration application. Check the modem product literature for more information.

If the problem persists, refer to a qualified technician.
