The remote computer you are contacting might be busy. Wait a few minutes and try again. |

If you are making several calls in a row, it's possible your modem did not hang up completely from the last call. Wait a minute and try again. |

If you still can't place the call, check and make sure your modem cable is securely attached. |

Troubleshoot your modem. When you installed your modem, it should have also installed a software configuration application. Check the modem product literature for more information. |

If the problem persists, refer to a qualified technician. |
